Lesson format options...Rubato offers two committment levels when taking lessons.
The first, and most common option, is by session. Each session is 13 weeks long and coincides roughly with the seasons. One lesson per week on the same day at the same time is scheduled with the same teacher for the entire session. The second option is a punch card. Students may purchase up to 5 lessons to be used within the session they are purchased in, but are not commited to attending those lessons at the same day & time each week. Students communicate directly with the teacher to schedule their lessons. |

What does a lesson with Jason look like?
Teaching is geared towards student goals with highly personalized lesson plans built per individual based on their goals. For instance, having experience with grade school, high school, & college level material while also working with tons of artists who have various backgrounds and styles across the country, there is rarely a drum related question that I cannot answer. Books will be recommended and required for lessons if needed, however I like to write my own exercises and use them as a major tool outside of books. Stop in or contact the studio for details!
Lesson times can vary; 30 min / 45 min/ 60 min lessons are available to all students.

Voice

At each lesson, students will be discovering what their true voice is, how to warm it up properly, and how to use it confidently. Voice lessons are goal oriented and are designed to help students become not only great singers who are comfortable with their own voice, but great musicians, as they will learn theory and history in addition to technique and repertoire.

Student curriculum is personalized, and students may need to purchase additional materials outside of the materials provided for them. It is expected that students practice outside of their lessons so that the lesson time can be used efficiently. It would be helpful for voice students to have access to a piano or keyboard for practice outside of their lesson time.
